Tis’ the season ~ When it comes to holiday gifting, it can be challenging coming up with fun and creative ideas. It can also get pretty expensive if you have a lengthy list of people to buy for which is why we did a little brainstorming to help you out this holiday season.

DIY Yoga Mat Cleaner

This simple DIY yoga mat cleaner is a great, natural alternative to a cleaner without the harsh chemicals. Not only does this recipe smell amazing, but it also uses two essential oils that have incredible anti-microbial properties. It’s an inexpensive gift that will keep giving year-round.

What you will need:
– 8oz spray bottle (or other preferred size)
– witch hazel
– lemongrass essential oil
– tea tree essential oil

Steps
1. Measure ¼ cup of witch hazel and add to spray bottle.
2. Measure ¾ cup distilled water and add to spray bottle.
3. Add 6-8 drops of EACH of the two oils to the spray bottle. Shake well before each use.

Tip –  The ratio for this recipe is 1 part witch hazel to 3 parts water. If you would like to use a larger or smaller size bottle, you can adjust the measuring cup size to the total ounces you are making.

Tea Tin Succulents

Succulents are an awesome gift to receive. For a creative and adorable twist, transfer succulents to leftover tea tins. How easy is that!? You can also paint the outside of any leftover aluminum cans if you don’t have tea tins. Just make sure to clean and dry them before adding succulents. When you are growing succulents indoors, remember a couple simple tips to keep them alive and healthy – Water your succulent so that the soil is completely moist. When the soil dries completely, it’s time to water it again (not everyday).  It’s also important to make sure succulents get about 6 hours of sunlight a day. Keeping them close to a window should do the trick.

Ornament Dips & Rubs

We just LOVE this idea and it’s so simple! Ornaments become containers for spices or dried herb mixes for the special chef in your life. Head over to Sprinkle Some Fun for directions on how to make these clever ornaments. Think dips, rubs, cocoa mix, unique herbs, spices or even loose leaf teas. Some of our favorite teas come from High Garden Tea or Mountain Rose Herb. Check them out!

Mini wall tapestries make great gifts and are easier than you think to make! You will need to purchase a loom kit and yarn or you can make your own loom.
